Christianity has been around for almost two thousand years, and it has also went across overseas to Greece & Turkey. Ephesus is located in Turkey that is widely known as a Greek and Roman city. The City of Ephesus, and the Basilica of St. John are all biblical occurrences that have happened around Ephesus, Turkey.

City of Ephesus was a popular Roman city that holds biblical significance. First, Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, stayed there preaching for two years. It is said to believe that his tent business took its presence there. It is where it is believed that Paul wrote the letters to the Ephesians, and it is also listed as one of the Seven Churches in the Book of Revelation. Lastly, the Great Theater is located there, and that is where Paul stood during a riot. Ephesus holds interesting facts about the Roman city back from two thousand years ago.

Not only did Paul walk the streets the Ephesus, but also St. John came to Ephesus too. He wrote his gospel here, and this is where he is buried. The Basilica of St. John is located near Ephesus where he spent his final days. At first, they built a chapel over the grave three years after his death, but they changed it to a basilica around 500 AD. It is interesting that two of the biblical figures walk in Turkey that will leave a historical impression.
