Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I believe 2026 is going to be a good year. My family and I got back from our quick trip to Cherokee, North Carolina. It is a small town where there is good experiences, close proximity to other tourist destination, and a remarkable hotel to enjoy with family.

Cherokee is a small town where there are some unique shops to visit to get a good experience. Also, Bigfoot is a common tourist in small shops because there is speculation that Bigfoot is in the area. It is a quiet place to enjoy the scenery and to get the most out of it with less crowds.

Not only is there enjoyable shops but an hour away is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We took a day trip up there where on our drive there through the mountains, we had sleek/snow on the side of the mountains. It was like winter wonderland. After arriving in Gatlinburg, we walk around town where we went into different shops and at lunch at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar. It was a lovely day exploring the mountains, a nice stop for lunch, and the shops.

Cherokee is a known for it a massive hotel where it holds many activities to do. The Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is a huge hotel where people can enjoy and also go to the casino for recreation. Not only does the casino exists, but there is a bowling alley, a couple of gift shops, and a couple of restaurants to eat good food. The Brio Tuscan Grille is a great Italian with fine dining and good customer service. The hotel is above average to enjoy recreation and fun with loved ones.

Cherokee, North Carolina is a not so busy place, but an enjoyable destination. People can avoid crowds while shopping good stores, go to nearby well-known destinations, and enjoy their stay at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. Recommended to go during December where people can drive through the mountains and possibly see snow. Cherokee, North Carolina is a unique place to go to relax in the mountains with plenty to do.
